A step toward fairer compensation and sustainable growth for our community.
Until now, most of the traffic and visibility generated by our platform led players directly to Patreon, where payments were processed externally.
While developers benefited from this exposure, and we’re genuinely happy with the results many have achieved on our platform, we currently receive no share of those transactions, even though we host thousands of pages, videos, translations, and assets that require constant maintenance, infrastructure, and moderation.
After almost two years of running the platform exclusively with payments through Patreon, we generated 1.2 million in revenue sent 100% to the game developers.
As we had anticipated a few months ago, we spent the last year looking for ways to monetize the platform and sustain the entire structure we provide for all games.
So we will have some news in the coming weeks, and the first is that we will start offering alternative payment methods alongside Patreon.
Why the Current Model Isn’t Sustainable
We’re proud of how our team has been working daily on support, security, and platform improvements. Over the past two years, we’ve built a strong community of developers and players together. However, keeping the platform running smoothly requires ongoing operational efforts and growing costs that need to be sustained over time.
For now, the revenue generated from game sales is being used to sustain the platform itself. However, this approach isn’t fair to the studios (which operate completely independently) and it’s not a healthy long-term model. Each business should be able to use the revenue it generates for its own growth and development.
Vision for the Future
Our goal from the very beginning has been to build a safe and reliable platform where developers and players can sell and purchase adult games, even in the face of uncertainty within the mainstream market.
Recent years have shown that this concern is real. Platforms like Patreon, Steam, and Itch.io primarily focus on non-adult content, and their policies can change at any time. We’ve already seen similar scenarios in the past, such as when Tumblr banned adult content after pressure from payment processors.
More recently, credit card networks have tightened restrictions around adult games, and several titles have been removed from major stores. This trend reinforces the importance of having an independent ecosystem built specifically for adult creators and players, with stable infrastructure and clear, respectful rules.
What We’re Introducing
We’re currently making a few important changes to the platform that will be announced soon.
For now, we’d like to share more details about one of the most anticipated updates: the One-Time Payment option.
This will allow users to purchase specific episodes or full games directly on our platform, while developers continue to manage their content and pricing.
Unlike Patreon (subscription-based) or Steam (full-game-only sales), OTP is designed for creators who release their games in chapters or want to offer standalone access without recurring payments.
How It Helps Everyone
This new system brings balance: developers gain a new source of revenue and users get a simple, transparent way to support their favorite creators without subscriptions.
At the same time, it allows the platform to cover operational costs and keep improving tools, hosting, and visibility for everyone involved.
The One-Time Payment (OTP) option is an additional feature, not a replacement for existing systems. Users will be able to choose between Patreon and OTP, depending on their preferences and the developer’s setup.
Availability and Pricing
Supported Countries
Building a payment system for adult games is a unique challenge, as many mainstream payment providers still restrict or refuse to process adult-related transactions. Because of that, One-Time Payment (OTP) will initially be available only in selected regions while we work on expanding coverage through new partnerships.
During the first rollout phase, the system will support transactions in:
Brasil Mexico Colombia Chile Peru Austria Belgium Denmark | Estonia Finland France Germany Iceland Ireland Italy Latvia | Lithuania Netherlands Norway Poland Portugal Spain Sweden |
Additional countries will be added gradually as we extend payment integrations and ensure compliance with local regulations.
Pricing Rules
At launch, prices will be automatically defined based on the developer’s existing Patreon tiers.
The One-Time Payment (OTP) price will match the value of the Patreon tier selected for the game. If the chosen tier is below 3 USD, the system will automatically use the next available tier above that amount.
In the future, developers will be able to adjust their own prices directly through the dashboard as the system evolves.
Platform Fee
A platform fee will be applied to each transaction to cover operational, hosting, and payment processing costs.
OppaiMan’s fee will be set at 20%, which represents a balanced midpoint between the fees typically charged by Steam and Patreon.
The fee structure will be fully transparent and visible to developers before publishing their products.
In the future, we also plan to introduce additional programs that may include adjusted fees or special conditions for developers.
Detailed documentation on fee percentages and payout timelines will be shared before the rollout.
Payout
The payout system is ready to be launched and will be available soon.
Developers will receive their earnings through monthly fixed payments based on the total amount collected during that period.
Transfers will be made on the 25th of each month directly to the bank account chosen by the developer.
Once released, the new feature will include a Payout Page, where developers can check their current balance and recent transactions, as well as access a payment form to securely submit payout details.
A minimum balance of $100.00 is required to withdraw funds. If a developer’s balance is below this amount, it will remain in their wallet until it reaches the $100.00 threshold (similar to how Steam handles payouts).
More information about available payment methods and schedules will be shared before the system launches.
Next Steps
This update marks an important step toward a more sustainable and independent platform.
We’ll continue to evolve alongside our community, ensuring that developers have fair opportunities to grow and that players enjoy a secure and consistent experience.
More updates will follow soon, including details about rollout dates and next-stage improvements.
Thank you for your trust and for helping us build a stronger space for adult games and creative freedom.
